The acquisition between Inka Oy and Piippo Oyj has now been officially confirmed. As part of the agreement, Manilla Oy will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Inka Oy as of October 31, 2025.

The acquisition supports Inka’s growth strategy and strengthens its position as a leading Finnish supplier of webbing and rope products. The merger opens new opportunities across the industrial, consumer, and retail sector, while enhancing Inka’s ability to develop innovative solutions for various industries.

“This is a natural next step in our growth and expansion strategy. By combining Inka’s manufacturing expertise with Manilla’s well-established distribution network, we can offer our customers a wider product range, faster service, and new solutions. For our customers, this means greater convenience and reliability – they can now source both industrial webbings and tapes as well as consumer products, ropes and binding solutions all under one roof. The acquisition also opens new channels and opportunities for growth in the retail market.” says Sirpa Heinämäki, CEO of Inka Oy.

Manilla Oy will continue to operate under its own brand as part of the Inka Group, with its current product range remaining unchanged. Customer service contacts and deliveries will continue as before. The acquisition enables more efficient use of Inka’s production capacity and expertise, further strengthening the role of Finnish work and craftsmanship.

“Both Manilla and Inka represent a long Finnish tradition of quality and craftmanship. By joining forces, we are building sustainable growth and ensuring that our customers continue to receive high-quality products born from Finnish expertise. ” adds Lauri Hirvonen, Business Director of Manilla Oy.
